Directions

1. Step

Prepare the Dough In a large bowl or mixer, combine the flour and melted ghee or butter. Mix or knead thoroughly until the mixture is well incorporated. Add the milk powder, crushed tea biscuits, sugar, salt, yeast, black seeds, and eggs. Gradually add water—about 1 cu —kneading until a stiff dough forms. Cover the dough and let it rest for 1 hour.

2. Step

Shape the Dough After resting, shape the dough using one of the following methods: Molded: Use a mooncake or decorative cooking mold for intricate patterns. Handmade: Roll into small circles, then fold the edges inward for a traditional handmade look. Textured: Press the dough into a mesh basket to imprint a unique texture. Place the shaped dough pieces onto a baking tray.

3. Step

Bake Brush the tops with beaten egg to achieve a golden finish. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) on the middle rack for approximately 25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Serve Allow the biscuits to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with your favorite tea, and savor the rich, buttery taste of this beloved Yemeni treat.
