Ingredients
- 1 small cabbage
- 200g minced beef
- 150g minced pork
- ½ onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- ⅔ tsp salt
- Pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp rice
- 1½ cups tomato spaghetti sauce
- 100ml water
- 3 bay leaves
- Pepperoncino (red pepper flakes), to taste
- Mozzarella cheese (for topping)

Directions

Cut the cabbage into large triangular pieces. Pour hot water over the cabbage and soak for 30 minutes.

Drain the cabbage and carefully separate the leaves. Place the leaves in a pan, cover with a lid, and boil for 5 minutes. Flip once during cooking. Remove from heat and set aside.

In a bowl, mix the minced beef, minced pork, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, rice, and egg until well combined.

Take a cabbage leaf and place 1 teaspoon of filling in the center. Roll it into a small ball. Repeat with the remaining leaves and filling. Arrange the stuffed cabbage rolls in a pan. Pour in the tomato spaghetti sauce and water. Add bay leaves and pepperoncino.
Cover and cook over medium-low heat for 30 minutes. Occasionally baste the rolls with the sauce.Once fully cooked, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and let it melt.
