Ingredients

  • 1 block (420 g) tofu
  • 300 g radish, finely chopped
  • 40 g carrot, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon potato starch
  • 3 eggs
  • Chili powder (optional)
  • Sesame oil
  • Cooking oil for frying

Directions

  1. Cut the tofu into smaller pieces and press it to remove excess water. Leave it to drain for 15 minutes. Finely chop the radish and carrot.

  2. Place the chopped radish and carrot into a blender and blend until smooth. Transfer the mixture into a bowl. Add the well-pressed tofu to the bowl and mix thoroughly.

  3. Add the finely chopped green onion and green chilies to the bowl. Season with 1/2 teaspoon of salt, a pinch of chili powder (if desired), and a splash of sesame oil. Crack two eggs into the mixture, add 1 tablespoon of potato starch, and mix lightly until well combined.

  4. Heat a lightly oiled saas wala pan (or any frying pan with small compartments) over medium-low heat. Spoon the mixture into the compartments or shape small patties in the pan. Fry until the bottoms are crispy, then carefully flip with a spoon and continue frying until evenly golden and crispy on both sides.

  5. Serve warm as a snack or side dish.
