Ingredients

  • 350 grams of flour
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 150 ml of kefir (or yogurt)
  • 60 ml of vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • Lemon zest

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine: 1 egg, 150 ml of yogurt or kefir, 60 ml of vegetable oil, 3 tablespoons of sugar, 1 pinch of vanilla, 1 teaspoon of salt. Mix until well combined. Add 1 teaspoon of lemon zest and mix again. Then, add 1 teaspoon of baking powder and gradually incorporate 350 grams of flour. Mix until the dough comes together, and knead gently with a little extra flour to form a soft, pliable dough.

  2. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1 cm. Divide the dough into 10 equal parts. Shape or design the pieces as desired, then coat them with sugar paste. Roll each piece into a round shape and arrange them on a baking dish.

  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 15 minutes, or until golden.
