Directions

1. Step

In a mixing bowl, combine the egg, kefir (or yogurt), and sugar (2 tbsp). Mix thoroughly. Add vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well until smooth. Incorporate the baking powder and 300–320 g of flour gradually, mixing until a soft dough forms. If needed, add a little more flour and knead the dough by hand until smooth and soft.

2. Step

Divide the dough into 16 equal parts. Roll each piece into a ball and place them in a container. Cover with plastic wrap to prevent drying out.

3. Step

Roll out each dough ball into a flat circle. Sprinkle sugar over the surface and then roll the dough into a cylinder shape. Dip the rolled dough in sugar to coat the outside.

4. Step

Place the rolls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
