  • Sugar - 130 grams
  • Butter - 180 grams
  • Eggs - 2
  • Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Vanilla - a pinch
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Sugar for sprinkling

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine the eggs, 130 grams of sugar, a pinch of vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until smooth.

  2. Add the butter to the mixture and mix again until well incorporated. Stir in the lemon zest and baking powder. Gradually add the flour (350–360 grams) and mix to form a soft dough. You may add a little extra flour if needed. Knead the dough gently by hand.

  3. Take a small piece of dough and roll it into a strip with your hands. Dip the strip into the sugar mixture (prepared separately for sprinkling). Place the sugar-coated dough strip onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Bake the dough strips for 12–15 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
