Directions
1. Prepare the Pastry
Lightly dust a clean surface with flour. Lay out the 500g of puff pastry. Cut the pastry into 9 equal squares. Fold each square in half and make small cuts on both sides. Unfold and fold again from the opposite direction to shape the pieces.
2. Make the Cheese Filling
In a bowl, add 100g cottage cheese. Mix in 80g powdered sugar thoroughly. Add 100g cream cheese and mix again until smooth.
3. Fill and Top the Pastries
Spoon 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture into the folded area of each pastry. Wash and slice the strawberries into circles. Place 3 slices on each pastry.
4. Egg Wash and Bake
Beat the egg in a small bowl. Use a brush to apply the egg wash on the top of each pastry. Sprinkle some sesame seeds and a pinch of sugar on each. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
