Directions

  1. Cut 420g of tofu into 12 equal pieces and place them in a bowl lined with tissue paper to remove excess moisture. Cut 300g of radish into pieces similar in size to the tofu.
Finely chop 1/2 an onion and some of the green onion. Reserve the remaining green onion (roughly chopped) for later use.

  2. 6 tablespoons soy sauce,1 tablespoon fish sauce, 2 tablespoons red chili powder, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 tablespoon oligosaccharides 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic, A pinch of grated ginger,Mix the sauce ingredients well until combined.

  3. In a pan, layer the 300g radish pieces at the bottom and pour in 400g water. Add the prepared sauce mixture and the roughly chopped green onions. Bring to a boil.

  4. Once boiling, add the finely chopped onion. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the radish becomes tender and golden.

  5. Meanwhile, heat a separate pan and fry the 420g tofu pieces until golden brown on all sides. After 15 minutes of simmering, remove the lid from the radish mixture and add the fried tofu. Sprinkle the chopped green onions over the dish and gently stir to coat everything in the sauce.

  6. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of perilla oil over the dish and garnish with sesame seeds. Let everything cook for another 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
