Ingredients

  • 900 grams potatoes, peeled and cut into finger-size pieces
  • 1/3 tsp salt, for boiling
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/3 tsp salt, for seasoning
  • 1 tbsp corn starch

Directions

  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into finger-sized pieces.

  2. Bring a pot of water to a boil, add 1/3 teaspoon of salt, and boil the potatoes for 4–5 minutes. Drain and let them cool.

  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooled potatoes, 2 tablespoons of cooking oil, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of chili powder, an additional 1/3 teaspoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of corn starch. Toss until evenly coated.

  4. Preheat your oven to 230°C (450°F). Arrange the seasoned potatoes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they’re crispy and golden.
