Directions
1. Make the Dough
In a large bowl, mix the sugar, yeast, and vanilla. Then add lukewarm milk, egg, oil, flour, and salt. Mix all the ingredients well to form a soft dough.
2. Let It Rise
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and a cloth. Let it rest for 1 hour so it can rise properly.
3. Flatten and Butter
Once risen, roll the dough into a rectangle and spread the softened butter evenly over it. Fold the dough and cut into small pieces. Roll each piece into a round shape.
4. Second Rise
Cover the round dough balls with a cloth and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
5. Prep for Baking
Mix egg yolk and milk, and brush on top of each bun. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
6. Bake
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
