  • 40 g honey
  • 90 g milk
  • 3 g yeast
  • 30 g unsalted butter
  • 300 g bread flour or wheat flour
  • 3 g salt
  • Egg wash (for brushing)

Directions

  1. Prepare the Dough In a mixing bowl, combine 2 eggs, 3 g yeast, 40 g honey, and 90 g milk. Stir with a spatula until well mixed. Add 300 g bread flour (or wheat flour) and 3 g salt. Mix thoroughly to form a dough. Cover the bowl with a lid and let the dough rest for 20 minutes. After resting, spread 30 g unsalted butter evenly over the dough. Knead gently, then cover again and let it rest for 1 hour.

  2. Shape the Dough Divide the dough into 6 equal portions. Roll each portion into a smooth ball, then cover with plastic wrap (or polythene) and let rest for 15 minutes. 

  3. Shape and Proof the Rolls Flatten each dough ball with a rolling pin, then shape into rolls or create designs with your hands.
    Place the shaped dough onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Cover with plastic wrap and let proof for 40 minutes.
    Preheat your oven to 170°C (338°F) during the proofing time.

  4. Final Touch and Bake Once proofed, brush the rolls with egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Bake in the preheated oven for 18 minutes or until golden brown.

    Let the rolls cool slightly, then serve warm. Enjoy!
