Directions
-
In a mixing bowl, combine bread flour, yeast, sugar, and water. Mix well with a spoon. Add salt and olive oil, and knead thoroughly until a smooth dough forms. Cover the bowl with a lid or damp cloth, and let the dough rest for 20 minutes.
-
Knead the dough again, ensuring it's smooth and elastic. Cover and let the dough rise for 1 hour. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions, shaping each into a round ball. Cover the balls with plastic wrap or a damp cloth and let them rest for 15 minutes.
-
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and water until dissolved. Place sesame seeds in a separate bowl.
-
Flatten and roll each dough ball into your desired shape or design. Brush or spread the dough with the brown sugar mixture. Sprinkle sesame seeds generously over the top. Arrange the buns on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
