Directions
1. Dough Preparation & First Proofing
Mix lukewarm milk, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Add the egg and mix well. Add flour and salt, then knead. Add butter and continue kneading until smooth and elastic. Cover and let it rise in a warm place until doubled (about 1 hour).
2. Filling & Shaping
Skewer 3 sausages on 3 sticks, and the remaining 3 sticks with sausage + mozzarella cheese combination. Divide risen dough into 6 parts. Flatten each and roll it lengthwise, sealing the ends.
3. Second Proofing & Wrapping
Stretch each dough piece to 45–48 cm. Wrap each skewer with the dough, leaving 2 cm gaps in between. Place on baking tray and let it rise for 20–30 minutes until puffed.
4. Baking & Serving
Brush with egg-milk wash and optionally add mayo/ketchup in the gaps. Bake at 170°C (338°F) for 20–25 mins. Brush melted butter on top after baking and sprinkle parsley. Serve warm.
