Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine 210 ml of warm milk, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of yeast powder, and 1.5 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter. Stir with a spatula until the ingredients are well mixed.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Gradually add this to the milk mixture and stir to form a dough.

  3. Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, knead the dough lightly, then cover again and let it rise for 1 hour.

  4. After 1 hour, divide the dough into 3 equal portions. Shape each portion into a ball, place in a container, cover with plastic wrap, and let rest for 15 minutes.

  5. After resting, take one portion of dough and roll it out into a rectangular shape.

  6. Spread a thin layer of red bean paste over the dough. Roll the dough up tightly, place it in a container, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rest for 40 minutes.

  7. After 40 minutes, brush the rolls with beaten egg yolk. Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F) and bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
