The cornstarch in the dough gives these fries a light and airy crunch, making them irresistibly snackable. Seasoned with a hint of salt and pepper, they’re perfect for dipping in your favorite sauce or enjoying on their own as a savory treat. Ideal for parties, movie nights, or any time you’re craving a crispy, satisfying snack!

Directions

  1. Peel and cut 430 grams of potatoes into large pieces. Boil the potatoes in water for about 15 minutes, or until they are tender but not falling apart. Drain the potatoes and let them cool slightly.

  2. Once the potatoes have cooled, mash them until smooth. Add 1/6 teaspoon of black pepper, 1/3 teaspoon of salt, 2 tablespoons of cooking oil, and 100 grams of cornstarch. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined, forming a smooth dough.

  3. Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a large, round nozzle. Pipe the dough into a long, thin roll onto a clean surface.

  4. Cut the roll into 2–3 cm pieces. Press each piece gently with a slotted spoon to create a textured pattern.

  5. In a frying pan, heat enough oil over medium heat for deep frying. Fry the dough pieces for 8–9 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.
