Directions
-
In a bowl, combine the fresh yeast, sugar, vanilla extract, and slightly warm milk. Stir until the yeast dissolves. Add the eggs and mix well. Gradually incorporate the flour and a pinch of salt into the mixture, stirring until a dough forms. Add the butter and knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
-
Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl and cover it with plastic wrap or a damp cloth. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
-
Once the dough has risen, divide it into small pieces and shape them into balls. Roll each ball into a round disc, then fold into triangular shapes.
-
Cover the shaped dough with a clean cloth and let them rest for 30 minutes.
-
Heat enough oil in a deep pan for frying. Fry the dough triangles in batches until golden brown on both sides. Remove and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
-
Sprinkle the fried triangles with cinnamon. (Optional) Fill with hazelnut cream for a sweet surprise.
