Directions
-
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 3 eggs and 120 g sugar until smooth. Add 150 ml oil and 150 ml milk, stirring until fully combined. Gradually mix in 160 g flour, 40 g bitter cocoa powder, 11 g baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until you achieve a smooth batter.
-
Grease an 18 x 28 cm square baking pan. Pour the batter into the pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 15–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
-
In a separate bowl, combine 250 ml milk, 70 g sugar, 50 g oil, 100 g dark chocolate, and 20 g bitter cocoa powder. Microwave for 3 minutes or until melted and smooth, stirring halfway through.
-
After baking, allow the cake to cool slightly, then cut it into pieces. Pour the warm chocolate mixture over the cake, making sure to coat it evenly so the mixture reaches every part.
-
Let the cake sit for 2 hours at room temperature to allow the flavors to set. When ready to serve, cut the cake into portions and add a small garnish of your choice, if desired.
