Directions

  1. Break 2 eggs into a bowl, beat them, and leave them at room temperature for about 1 hour. In a hot pan, add 170ml water, 75g unsalted butter, and 2 pinches of salt. Stir until the butter is fully melted. Add 90g oatmeal to the pan and mix well. Knead the mixture on low heat for 2 minutes, ensuring you retain the dough's moisture.

  2. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and let the steam release. Gradually add the beaten eggs in parts, mixing quickly after each addition. Knead vigorously to maintain a sticky consistency. Once the dough reaches the desired texture, transfer it to a piping bag.

  3. Pipe the dough onto a baking sheet into coin-sized rounds (approx. 100 won coin size). Use wet hands to press down any raised parts for even baking. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (374°F) for 20 minutes. After baking, let the pastries rest in the oven for an additional 10 minutes before removing them. Allow the pastries to cool completely on a wire rack.

  4. Enjoy these pastries as they are or fill them with whipped cream for an added treat. Their delicate size makes them perfect for parties, tea time, or as a light dessert.
