Directions
-
In a bowl, combine 200 grams of leftover rice, 5 grams of yeast, 25 grams of sugar, and 200 grams of milk. Mix with a spatula until combined. Add 300 grams of bread flour or wheat flour and 3 grams of salt. Mix well to form a sticky dough. Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes.
-
Knead the dough thoroughly with 30 grams of unsalted butter until it becomes smooth and elastic. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rise for 1 hour or until it doubles in size. Divide the dough into 16 equal portions. Shape each portion into a round ball. Arrange the dough balls closely together in a greased or lined baking tin. Cover again with plastic wrap and let them rise for another hour. Lightly brush the tops with milk.
-
Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F). Bake the rolls for 22 minutes or until golden brown. Remove the rolls from the oven and brush them with unsalted butter for a shiny, flavorful finish. Serve warm and enjoy!
