  • 1 egg
  • 145 g milk
  • 3 g yeast
  • 300 g bread flour or wheat flour
  • 3 g salt
  • 30 g unsalted butter
  • Cooking oil (for brushing)
  • Green onions (chopped)
  • Bacon crumbs
  • Mozzarella cheese (shredded)

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the egg, sugar, milk, and yeast. Mix with a spatula until well combined. Add the bread flour and salt. Mix thoroughly to form a dough. Cover the bowl with a lid and let the dough rest for 20 minutes. Spread the unsalted butter over the dough. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise for 1 hour.

  2. Once risen, transfer the dough to a floured surface and roll it out using a rolling pin. Brush the dough with cooking oil. Sprinkle chopped green onions, bacon crumbs, and shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the surface. Roll the dough into a log and divide it into 6 equal pieces. Place the rolls in a cake pan, ensuring some space between them for expansion. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and let the rolls rise for 1 hour. Brush the tops of the rolls with egg wash.

  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Bake the rolls for 18 minutes, or until golden brown.
