Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine 140 grams of milk, 13 grams of sugar, 1 egg, and 3 grams of yeast. Mix well with a spatula. Gradually add 300 grams of wheat flour and 3 grams of salt. Mix until a dough begins to form. Incorporate 30 grams of unsalted butter into the dough and knead until smooth and elastic.

  2. Cover the dough with plastic wrap (or polythene) and let it rest for 1 hour in a warm place until it doubles in size.

  3. Divide the dough into 9 equal portions and shape each into a round ball. Cover them with plastic wrap and let them rest briefly. Take one ball at a time and shape it into a flower-like design (refer to your video or instructions for this step).

  4. Allow the shaped dough flowers to rest for some time until slightly puffy.

  5. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Carefully place the prepared dough flowers into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on all sides. Remove and drain the excess oil on paper towels.

  6. Dip the fried dough flowers in sugar while they are still warm for a sweet coating. Serve immediately and enjoy!
