- 3 tbsp sugar (1/3 cup)

- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp dry yeast (10 g)
- 500 ml milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 3 tbsp corn starch
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar or vanillin

In a bowl, combine 400 ml milk, 1 tbsp dry yeast, and 3 tbsp sugar. Mix well, then add 2 eggs, orange zest (or vanillin), 750 g flour, 1/2 tsp salt, and 2 tbsp butter. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until a smooth dough forms.

Cover the dough with plastic wrap and a cloth, and let it rest for about two hours. Meanwhile, prepare the custard cream by mixing 2 egg yolks, 2 tbsp sugar, 3 tbsp corn starch, and 500 ml milk in a saucepan. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly until thickened.

Roll out the dough and cut it into round shapes using a round mold. Cover the dough pieces and let them rest for 15 minutes.
