Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine: 250 ml milk, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 3 tbsp sugar, 8 g dry yeast. Let it rest for a few minutes until frothy. Then, add: 1 egg, 1 tbsp oil, 500 g flour, A pinch of salt. Mix everything until well combined to form a dough.

  2. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and a clean cloth. Let it rise for about 2 hours or until it doubles in size. After rising, roll the dough into a rectangle. Spread custard or hazelnut cream on one side, sprinkle with chocolate chips, and roll the dough into a log. Slice the log into even pieces.

  3. In a small bowl, mix an egg yolk with a little milk and brush it over the dough pieces. Place the pieces on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
