Directions
-
In a bowl, mix the rice with furikake and sesame oil. Divide the rice mixture into two equal portions (about 100g each). Shape each portion into a tight ball, then flatten into a disk about 9–10 cm in diameter and not too thick. In another bowl, beat the eggs with flour and salt until well combined.
-
Dip each rice patty into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated. Cover the patty in breadcrumbs. Heat a pan with cooking oil and fry the patties until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Set them aside.
-
Toss shredded cabbage with mayonnaise and ketchup in a bowl to make coleslaw. In a hot pan, fry the meat patty until cooked through. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top and let it melt slightly. Fry one egg in a pan, keeping the yolk slightly runny if preferred.
-
Place one rice patty as the base. Layer with the cooked meat patty (with melted cheese). Add the fried egg on top of the patty. Spread steak sauce over the egg. Add thinly sliced onions, tomatoes, coleslaw, and romaine lettuce. Top with the second rice patty to complete the burger.
