Directions

  1. Take 1 slice of Castella cake and crush it finely in a blender. In a bowl, combine 200 ml of fresh cream with 20 g of sugar. Mix on low speed until the sugar dissolves, then increase the speed to whip the cream until stiff peaks form. The cream should be firm enough not to drip.

  2. Generously spread the whipped cream on one slice of bread. Place another slice of bread on top to create a sandwich. Trim the crusts, then cut the sandwich into three equal pieces. Spread more cream on the cut sides of the bread and coat them with the crushed Castella cake.

  3. Take another slice of bread and trim the crusts. Roll it flat using a rolling pin. Spread a thin layer of cream over the surface, then add more cream in the center. Roll the bread tightly into a spiral shape. Cover the roll with a layer of cream and sprinkle the crushed Castella cake on top for decoration.
