Ingredients

  • Flour – 300 g
  • Cottage cheese – 200 g
  • Sugar – 60 g (+ extra for sprinkling)
  • Vegetable oil – 50 ml
  • Yogurt – 100 g
  • Egg – 1
  • Baking powder – 1 tablespoon
  • Vanilla – a pinch
  • Salt – a pinch

Directions

  1. Strain the cottage cheese through a sieve. Mix in the egg, sugar (60 g), vanilla, salt, vegetable oil, and yogurt until well combined. Add the baking powder and flour (300 g). Gradually incorporate the flour, kneading the dough by hand.

  2. Divide the dough into 2 portions. Roll out each portion by hand and divide it into 16 pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and cover with plastic wrap.

  3. Roll out each ball into a flat circle. Sprinkle sugar on top, then roll the dough into a spiral. Shape the spiral into a round and dip it in sugar. Place the prepared rolls on a baking sheet.

  4. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Bake the rolls for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
