Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 160 grams of cornmeal, 40 grams of sugar, 2 eggs, and 240 ml of milk. Whisk until well blended. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.

  2. After chilling, remove the bowl from the refrigerator. Sift 150 grams of all-purpose flour (or wheat flour) and 10 grams of baking powder into the mixture. Mix until a smooth dough forms.

  3. Grease a 20 cm baking pan and pour the batter into it. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (338°F) for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  4. Remove the cake from the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve.
