Directions

1. Step

In a mixing bowl, combine 120 g of butter, 80 g sugar, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt. Mix together until well combined. Add 1 egg and 80 ml of vegetable oil, and mix again. Once the mixture is smooth, add 0.5 tsp of baking powder and gradually mix in 260-270 g of flour. Continue mixing until combined. If necessary, add a little more flour and knead by hand to form a soft dough.

2. Step

Divide the dough into two parts. Keep one part in the bowl. To the other part, add 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder and mix by hand until evenly incorporated. If needed, add a little more flour to the cocoa dough to help it come together.

3. Step

Take a small piece of the plain dough and a small piece of the cocoa dough. Roll each piece into small balls. Place the two balls together and gently press them together. Sprinkle sugar over the top and continue preparing the rest of the dough in this way.

4. Step

Place the prepared dough pieces onto a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
