  • 3 eggs
  • Pinch of salt
  • 8 g vanilla sugar
  • 90 g granulated sugar
  • 150 ml oil
  • 150 ml milk
  • 125 g dessert chocolate
  • 250 g all-purpose flour (00 type)
  • 16 g baking powder
  • 70 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Walnuts (to taste)
  • 120 g dark chocolate
  • A little milk

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the following ingredients: 3 eggs, A pinch of salt, 90 g granulated sugar, 8 g vanilla sugar, 150 ml oil, 150 ml milk. Whisk until well blended. Then add: 125 g melted dessert chocolate, 70 g unsweetened cocoa powder, 250 g all-purpose flour, 16 g baking powder. Mix thoroughly until the batter is smooth. Fold in chopped walnuts and pieces of dark chocolate.

  2. Pour the mixture into a greased and floured round baking pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  3. Once the cake has cooled slightly, melt the remaining dark chocolate with a little milk. Spread this mixture evenly over the cake. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and additional grated dark chocolate, if desired.
