Directions

1. Step

In a bowl, mix the flour and cocoa powder thoroughly. In a separate pot, whisk together the eggs and sugar until well combined. Add the oil and mix again. Sift the flour and cocoa mixture into the bowl, then gently fold it into the wet ingredients until smooth.

2. Step

Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Pour the batter onto a lined baking tray and bake for 8-10 minutes. Once baked, remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle fine sugar on a sheet of parchment paper. Transfer the cake onto the sugared parchment, then carefully roll it up while warm. Cover with a cloth and let it cool.

3. Step

In a separate bowl, whip the sweet whipping cream until thick. Unroll the cooled cake and lightly sprinkle coffee over it. Evenly spread the whipped cream across the surface. Gently roll the cake back into a log shape, ensuring it’s wrapped tightly in parchment paper. Refrigerate for a few hours until firm.

4. Step

Once chilled, remove the roll from the refrigerator and cover it with a layer of whipped cream. Sprinkle chocolate vermicelli on top. Slice into even portions and decorate each piece with additional cream and chocolate sprinkles.
