Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine the warm milk (100 ml), warm water (200 ml), sugar (1 tsp), salt (0.5 tsp), egg white (1), yeast (6 g), flour (450-500 g), and vegetable oil (1 tsp). Mix well until smooth. Cover with a cloth and let it rise for 40 minutes.

  2.  After 40 minutes, remove the dough and roll it into a round shape. Apply softened butter (100 g) on top. Cut the dough into pieces, cover with polythene, and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.

  3. Once rested, roll the dough into a round shape again and divide it into 16 equal portions. Place a piece of chocolate (100 g, divided as needed) in the center of each portion. Shape the dough into round buns. In a small bowl, mix the egg yolk (1) and milk (1 tsp) and brush the mixture over the buns for a glossy finish.

  4. Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F). Bake the buns for 10 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 180°C (356°F) and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Once baked, remove from the oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
