  • 130 g heavy cream (liquid cream)
  • 25 g butter
  • 90 g icing sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp milk
  • Chocolate syrup (optional)
  • Chocolate sprinkles (choco vermicelli)

Directions

  1. In a bowl, beat together the eggs and sugar until well combined. Add the flour, liquid cream, butter, cocoa powder, baking powder, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly until smooth. Pour the batter into a flat, greased pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 15 minutes.

  2. In a saucepan, melt the dark chocolate with the heavy cream and butter over low heat, stirring until smooth. Pour the mixture into a container, cover with plastic wrap, and let it cool to room temperature.

  3. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely. Cut the cake into two equal halves. Spread the cooled chocolate filling evenly over one half of the cake, then place the second half on top. In a separate bowl, combine the icing sugar, milk, and chocolate syrup (if using). Mix until smooth, then spread this mixture over the top of the cake. Decorate with chocolate sprinkles or as desired.
