Directions
-
In a mixing bowl, combine 150 g of butter, 2 tbsp of vegetable oil, 100 g of powdered sugar, a pinch of vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until smooth. Add 1 egg and mix thoroughly. Incorporate 60 g of cornstarch, 280-300 g of flour, and 0.5 tsp of baking powder into the mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms, adding a bit more flour if necessary. Knead the dough gently with your hands.
-
Divide the dough into two equal parts. Set one part aside. To the remaining half, add 1 tbsp of cocoa powder and mix it well by hand until fully combined.
-
Take the non-cocoa dough and add 1 tbsp of flour, mixing well by hand. Take a small portion of this dough and form a ball. Flatten the ball gently with your hands. Repeat this process with the cocoa dough, forming a ball and flattening it as well. Place the cocoa dough on top of the plain dough, then fold and shape it together. Create a hole in the center of the dough and cut it into four pieces using a knife.
-
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Place the shaped dough pieces on a baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes. Once baked, remove from the oven and place 100 g of chocolate in the holes. Add almonds on top of the melted chocolate and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
