Directions
-
In a bowl, mix together the egg yolks, sugar, salt, sour cream, and softened butter until smooth. Gradually add the flour and baking powder to form a soft dough. Divide the dough into two parts and refrigerate.
-
In a separate bowl, combine cherries, sugar, and corn starch. Mix well and set aside.
-
Beat the egg whites until foamy, then gradually add sugar and vanilla sugar. Fold in the yogurt (or sour cream) and corn starch, mixing until smooth.
-
Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F). Roll out one portion of the dough and press it into a 20 cm (8-inch) baking dish to form the base. Spread the cherry filling evenly over the dough. Pour the cream topping over the cherries. Crumble the second portion of dough on top as a streusel. Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden brown.
-
Let the baked dessert cool slightly, then sprinkle with sugar if desired. Serve warm or chilled. Enjoy!
