- 350g (2 medium-sized) potatoes – peeled and sliced (2–3mm thick)
- 1/3 onion – finely sliced (2–3mm thick)
- 18g (1 tbsp) minced garlic
- 30g unsalted butter
- 5g (0.5 tbsp) wheat flour
- 2g (4 pinches) salt
- 100ml milk
- 20g (3 tbsp) parmesan cheese
- Black pepper powder (optional, not included in the video)
- Mozzarella cheese – for topping
- Parsley (optional) – for garnish

Directions
1. Step
Peel and slice the potatoes into 2–3mm thick rounds. Place the slices neatly in a bowl, cover with water, and microwave for 5 minutes at 700W, or until 80% cooked.

Thinly slice the onion into 2–3mm pieces. In a hot pan, melt 30g butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic, onion, and flour, stirring continuously until fragrant. Pour in the milk, then add parmesan cheese and salt, stirring until the sauce thickens.

Arrange the partially cooked potatoes in a baking dish. Pour the cream sauce evenly over the potatoes. Bake at 200°C (392°F) for 20 minutes. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and bake for another 10 minutes. Garnish with parsley before serving.
