  • 1/3 tsp salt
  • Olive oil
  • Tomato spaghetti sauce
  • Mayonnaise
  • Bacon

Directions

  1. Finely chop the potatoes and place them in a bowl. Add 1/3 tsp of salt and a drizzle of olive oil. Mix well and spread the mixture evenly in the bowl. Press the mixture down with a spoon to form a compact layer.

  2. Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F). Bake the potato mixture for 20 minutes. Once done, remove the dish from the oven and spread a layer of tomato spaghetti sauce over the hot potato base. Use mayonnaise to create a border around the edges, and then fill the center with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.

  3. Add cooked bacon pieces over the cheese layer. Bake again at 200°C (392°F) for 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with chopped parsley and a sprinkle of extra cheddar cheese.
