Directions
-
Wash and cut the potatoes into round slices. Place the slices in a bowl, add 1 teaspoon of salt and 100 ml of water. Mix well. Cover and let the potatoes soak overnight. Microwave the soaked potatoes for 10 minutes or until slightly tender. Set aside.
-
Pat dry the shrimps with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Heat 45 g of unsalted butter in a pan over medium heat. Add 1 teaspoon of minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add the shrimps to the pan and cook until they turn pink and opaque. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of paprika powder and chili powder (to taste). Stir well. Remove the cooked shrimps and garlic butter from the pan and set aside.
-
Using the same pan, layer the round-cut potato slices evenly across the bottom. Keep the heat low. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously over the potatoes. Add another layer of potato slices on top, followed by more mozzarella cheese.
-
Drizzle the reserved garlic butter over the layers of potatoes and cheese, spreading it evenly with a spoon. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook on low heat until the cheese melts. Once the cheese has melted, remove the lid and add the cooked shrimps on top.
Cover again briefly to warm the shrimps.
