Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine the rice, 3 pinches of salt, and a drizzle of sesame oil. Mix well. Divide the rice into four equal portions. Shape each portion into a flattened ball.

  2. In a separate bowl, combine the beef, soy sauce, 2 pinches of salt, sugar, and black pepper. Mix well. Pat the beef with a kitchen towel to remove excess moisture.

  3. Heat a large pan over medium heat. Fry the rice balls until golden on both sides. Set aside. In the same pan, add the seasoned beef. Cook until browned on one side, then flip and cook the other side. Add slices of cheddar cheese on top of the beef, allowing it to melt slightly. Remove from the pan and set aside.

  4. In another pan, scramble the eggs or cook them as an omelet. To assemble: Place a fried rice ball on a plate. Add the cooked beef with melted cheese on top of the rice. Layer the cooked eggs over the beef.

  5. Combine the layers (rice, beef, and eggs) and fry them lightly in the pan to meld the flavors. Serve warm and enjoy!
