Directions

1. Step

In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, warm water, salt, sugar, egg, yeast, flour, and vegetable oil. Knead the mixture into a smooth dough, then cover it with plastic wrap and let it rise for 40–60 minutes until doubled in size.

2. Step

Peel and boil the potatoes until tender, then mash them in a bowl. Add salt to taste, mayonnaise, and 230 g of mozzarella cheese to the mashed potatoes. Mix well until the filling is uniform.

3. Step

Divide the risen dough into two equal portions. Roll out each portion using a rolling pin. Spread half of the potato mixture evenly over each piece of dough. Shape the dough and filling into round balls. Brush the tops with a mixture of egg yolk and milk, then sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top. Place the dough balls on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 30–35 minutes, or until golden brown.

4. Step

Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and enjoy warm.
