Directions

1. Step

In a bowl, mix together 1 egg, 25 grams of sugar, 145 grams of milk, and 3 grams of yeast using a spatula. Add 300 grams of bread flour or wheat flour and 3 grams of salt to the mixture. Stir until a dough forms. Cover the bowl with a lid and let it rest for 20 minutes.

2. Step

After 20 minutes, knead the dough by hand, incorporating 28 grams of unsalted butter until smooth. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rise for 1 hour.

3. Step

Once the dough has risen, divide it into six equal parts. Take one portion and shape it into a round ball. Cover the dough balls with plastic wrap and let them rest for 15 minutes. After resting, use a rolling pin to flatten each ball into a rectangular shape. Fold the dough as shown in the video.

4. Step

Place the folded dough pieces on a baking tray. Cover them with plastic wrap and let them rise for 40 minutes. After proofing, sprinkle powdered sugar over the dough. Use a blade to make cuts on the surface, then place a piece of unsalted butter on top of each roll.
