Directions

1. Step

In a bowl, combine 0.6 cup milk, 1 teaspoon yeast, 3 tablespoons sugar, and 1 egg. Mix well, then add 2 cups flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Stir with a spoon to form a dough, then knead thoroughly by hand until smooth.

2. Step

Add 2 tablespoons unsalted butter to the dough and knead until fully incorporated.

3. Step

Place the dough in a covered bowl and let it rest for 1 hour.

4. Step

Divide the dough into four equal portions, shape each into a ball, and let rest for 15 minutes, covering with plastic wrap to prevent drying.

5. Step

Roll out one dough ball with a rolling pin until thin. Spread a layer of unsalted butter on it, then roll it up to create layers. Repeat this for all dough portions. (If you have a video reference, you can follow it for design details.)

6. Step

Place all rolled dough pieces into a preheated pan. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 40 minutes. Brush the tops with egg yolk.

7. Step

Bake at 170°C for 25 minutes. Once baked, brush the rolls with unsalted butter. Serve warm.
