Belgian Liege Waffles are a luxurious and flavorful twist on traditional waffles, originating from the charming city of Liège in Belgium. Made with a rich, yeast-based dough similar to brioche, these waffles are denser and chewier than their lighter counterparts. What truly sets them apart is the inclusion of pearl sugar, which melts and caramelizes as the waffles cook, creating irresistible pockets of sweetness and a golden, crispy exterior. Perfectly buttery and delicately sweet with hints of vanilla, Belgian Liege Waffles are a treat for any time of the day. Whether enjoyed plain, sprinkled with powdered sugar, or topped with fresh fruit, whipped cream, or chocolate drizzle, these waffles deliver a taste of authentic Belgian indulgence in every bite.
