Ingredients

  • 1 onion, finely chopped (200g)
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic (15g)
  • 1 kg lamb or goat meat, cut into pieces
  • 1 tsp each: cumin, coriander, paprika, black pepper, cardamom
  • 350g chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 400g potatoes, chopped into large pieces
  • 100g carrots, chopped
  • 1 tbsp salt (or to taste)
  • Hot water (as needed)
  • Olive oil (for frying)

Directions

1. Step

Heat a little olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and saute until softened. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
