Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine sugar (180 g), semolina (160 g), flour (130 g), baking powder (1 teaspoon), and a pinch of salt. Mix well, then divide this mixture evenly into three portions.

  2. Peel and grate the apples (800 g). Add lemon juice (2 teaspoons) and cinnamon to taste. Mix thoroughly and divide the apple mixture into three equal parts.

  3. In a baking dish, sprinkle one portion of the dry mixture evenly on the bottom. Spread one portion of the grated apple mixture on top. Repeat this process with another layer of the dry mixture, followed by another layer of apples, and finish with the last portion of the dry mixture. Make small holes on the top layer using a fork or skewer.

  4. Melt the butter (50 g) and mix it with milk (200 ml). Pour this mixture evenly over the layered ingredients, ensuring it seeps into the holes.

  5. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the dessert for 40–45 minutes or until golden brown on top.

  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top before serving.
