Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix 1 egg, 60 g sugar, and a few drops of lemon extract or vanilla extract until well combined. Gradually add 70 ml oil while mixing. Add 200 g flour, a pinch of salt, and 5 g baking powder. Mix until a dough forms. Shape the dough into a ball and set aside.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 egg, 2 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons corn starch, and a few drops of lemon juice or zest. Gradually stir in 400 ml milk and mix well. Cook the mixture on low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens into a creamy consistency.
Spread the filling evenly over the prepared dough.

  3. Slice the 4 apples into thin pieces. Arrange the apple slices on top of the filling. Sprinkle with a pinch of sugar or cinnamon, and optionally add almonds for extra flavor and texture. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 20 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the edges of the dough are golden.

  4. Let the dessert cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar. Serve warm or at room temperature.
