  • 1 apple
  • 1 egg
  • 50 g sugar
  • 60 ml oil
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 packet vanillin (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)
  • A pinch of salt
  • 200 ml milk
  • 10 g instant baking yeast
  • Oil for frying
  • Sugar
  • Cinnamon

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine: 200 ml milk, 1 egg, 50 g sugar, 60 ml oil, Vanillin, A pinch of salt, Mix the ingredients well. Gradually add, 400 g of flour and 10 g of instant baking yeast. Knead until the dough is smooth and pliable.

  2. Peel and chop the apple into small pieces. Shape the dough into small round portions. Flatten each portion slightly and spread 1 tablespoon of jam on top. Add the chopped apple pieces and sprinkle with cinnamon.

  3. Fold the dough around the filling to form a sealed round shape. Cut into smaller pieces if needed. Fry the pieces in hot oil until golden brown. Once fried, sprinkle with icing sugar and a touch of cinnamon for decoration.
