- 50g sugar (10% of apple weight)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Cinnamon (to taste)

- 40g sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp rum (optional, to taste)
- 10g cake flour or rice flour
- 1 whole egg (room temperature)
- 40g almonds
- 2 frozen pie sheets (11cm x 18cm)

In a pan, combine apples (500g), sugar (50g), and lemon juice (1 tsp). Cook on medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add cinnamon to taste and mix well. Set aside to cool.

In a bowl, mix together butter (45g), sugar (40g), a pinch of salt, rum (1 tsp, optional), cake or rice flour (10g), the whole egg, and almonds (40g) until well combined.

Line a small cake pan with one frozen pie sheet. Spread a small amount of the almond mixture on the base. Layer the apple mixture over it and top with the remaining almond mixture. Cut the second frozen pie sheet into small strips or shapes and arrange them on top. Brush the top with a small amount of the egg mixture for a golden finish.
