Directions
-
In a large bowl, combine 240 grams flour, 60 grams sugar, 30 grams almond powder, 140 grams butter, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Mix well until a dough forms.
-
Shape the dough into a round, approximately 26 cm in diameter. Refrigerate for 1 hour to chill.
-
While the dough chills, prepare the cream topping. In another bowl, beat 120 grams soft butter, 100 grams icing sugar, 3 eggs, 120 grams almond powder, and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
-
Remove the dough from the refrigerator. Spread the cream mixture evenly over the dough, then sprinkle 60 grams of slivered almonds on top. Bake at 160°C (320°F) for 35 minutes.
-
Once baked, remove the almond tart from the oven. If desired, brush a thin layer of jam icing on top for extra flavor.
-
For a finishing touch, place a round object (like a bowl) on top of the tart and lightly sprinkle sugar around it for decoration.
